This topwater cast well and has a great walking action. I’ll give it 5 stars because I caught a nice redfish with it on my 2nd cast! Hard to beat that!
I tried the mini size on a recent bass fishing trip to Lake Conroe. Found the bass in 2-3’ of water in hydrilla pockets. I was throwing weedless soft plastic top water lures. Had to change lures several times until the best color combination was determined. I caught & released around 30 2-5 lb. bass. They demolished several of my lures. The speed clips performed as advertised. I didn’t waste precious fishing time tying loop knots when changing baits & there was no noticeable difference in the lure action. I am very pleased with the clips. I’ll be sight casting to reds on the flats behind South Padre Island next month & can’t wait to see if these clips work there too.
Took alittle to get used to get on fast. But I am definitely better at it now. I took up to Lake Winapeg and they held up against 27inch walleye and catching a fish every 15 or less minutes! Strongly recommend!
Great product. I only carry 3 rods with me when out and all three have a small/45lb clips. One always has a topwater plug. Other 2 rods bounce from soft plastics and suspending plugs for sight casting. Makes it easy to change those two around given tides, depth, location, etc. Also if hooks get damaged/straightened easy to just swap a plug real quick and swap hooks out later when at home.
I like the way they look I have not tried them fishing yet though, but I think they’re gonna work perfect
